The fragrance

Rooted in Konkan

House of Sugandha comes from Tithavli, a village in Sindhudurg, where our work began with growing lemongrass and distilling its aromatic oil. That experience shaped our interest in fragrance: understanding the plant, working with its aroma, and creating products people can enjoy every day.

Chafa is part of that continuing journey—bringing the floral character we associate with Konkan into a personal, everyday ritual.

How we create it

At our Konkan workshop, we blend selected aromatic oils to bring together leafy freshness, the floral heart of white Chafa, and the woody character of sandalwood. The fragrance is filled into a glass hanging bottle and finished with a wooden diffuser cap. Once activated according to the supplied directions, the cap absorbs the fragrance and gradually releases it into the surrounding air.

Each bottle is presented in Sugandha’s signature botanical box.
